The length of a rectangle is 6 ft longer than its width. if the perimeter of the rectangle is 32 ft , find its area.

32/2 = 16

16 = w +w+6

16 =2w+6

10=2w

w=10/2 =5

 width = 5, length = 5+6=11

5+5 +11+11 = 32


area = 5 *11 = 55 square feet
