Answer:

F ΔT = Δ(M V)

Change in momentum is equal to applied force* time

Δ(M V) = 6 kg * 12 m / s = 72 kg-m / s

ΔT = 72 kg-m/s / 18 kg-m/s^2 = 6 s     after 6 sec it will tend to rebound
